Only The Blind: A contemporary take on luxury streetwear for SS23
UK exhibitor Only the Blind will be presenting its SS23 collection “Dusk Till Dawn” featuring a contemporary take on luxury streetwear, at Pitti Uomo in Florence this June.
The collection combines the brand’s trademark intricate embroideries and detailed artworks throughout, featuring elements of traditional Japanese illustrations. All of the designs are cut and sewn, designed and illustrated by its team in-house in its studio in London, England.
Founded in 2016, Only the Blind is a British luxury label from London, England. The brand creates pieces for both men and women, that mix elements of streetwear and contemporary fashion. Since its launch, the brand has been creating clothing and accessories with a core brand value of producing products to the finest quality of fabric, fit and manufacture, with its signature pieces being tonal styles with highly intricate embroideries and prints.
The SS23 collection continues to feature the speciality of the brand, highly intricate embroidery work over the pieces, creating a bold and striking look. Only The Blind always puts a large focus on its embroideries, which are hand drawn and then perfected in the digitisation process ensuring a striking look and feel, going through multiple reviews before the final product is created. This collection features multiple crane and floral embroideries with muted tonal colours, bringing a striking yet sophisticated look.
The brand’s signature statement can be seen throughout the pieces, “Blessed are those who have not seen, yet still believe.” It’s a key message that is seen throughout the collections and is a message that strongly characterises the brand’s ethos of pursuing what you love no matter what. When the path before you is unclear, you must persevere, which is ever more so relevant in the current global climate. Only the Blind is not just a brand, but a message bringing together individuals and encouraging a positive outlook.
Since its launch, the brand has built a strong global customer base and following including actors, musicians, athletes and artists.
Sustainable developments
Sustainability is a core focus for Only The Blind, making sure pieces are created to the highest quality and standard so they can be worn many years over, due to them being timeless by both design and quality. Since we launched the undyed range, we have been growing the use of undyed cotton which is natural in colour, saving on the water and electricity consumption in the dyeing process and making the pieces a lot more ecological. This is featured on multiple pieces in this collection and makes each piece unique as you can see tiny specks of the cotton seed throughout the material. We have also ensured that all jersey material in the collection is made of natural fibres, being 100% cotton.
